No free lunch for the Greeks at Europe's expense.

"E os escribas e fariseus trouxeram-lhe uma mulher apanhada em adultério;

I will tell you a little story that fits well today, mainly because recently happened.
A friend asked a bank loan to complete the value of a new greenhouse for your bakery. A few months later there was a EXCHANGE crisis that led this friend of mine bankruptcy. This was one financial pendency he could no longer honor. The bank did not care, either pay or protest! (He was protested). Approximately 10,000 man's debt rose to around 40,000 after a few more years .... (remember, we're talking about Brazil).
After near two years this friend of mine died of depression and cancer. His house was being protested as security for the loan payment but, as the house was unique, they could not simply displaces it.
Well, after a few years (maybe six years after contracting debt) came to him a letter from another financial institution (yes, the debt was "sold") proposing the debt  immediate payment discharge, something about 10,000. Of course the debt was never repaid.
Why the story? It comes in handy with something that is happening these days as the Guardian article about Greece and the IMF:

In one of the reviews, a reader comments:
No free lunch for the Greeks at Europe's expense.

So I write to reflect on the lesson of the Master:

And the scribes and the Pharisees bring a woman taken in adultery; and having set her in the midst,
they say unto him, Teacher, this woman hath been taken in adultery, in the very act.
Now in the law Moses commanded us to stone such: what then sayest thou of her?
And this they said, trying him, that they might have [whereof] to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.
But when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
And again he stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.
And they, when they heard it, went out one by one, beginning from the eldest, [even] unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the midst.
And Jesus lifted up himself, and said unto her, Woman, where are they? did no man condemn thee?
And she said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said, Neither do I condemn thee: go thy way; from henceforth sin no more.
