"Brazil faced once and for all that is not a country. It is completely divided. It has never been a country. Only occupy the same territory, "he said.
"We can not even form a unified narrative of the military dictatorship, a red line saying 'here' not pass and this will never take place."
This limit has not been established in 64 coup and apparently not the abuse of Operation Lava jet. We are, it seems, the land of anything goes.
The amount of people applauding the omnipotence of Sergio Moro and his men for months, in the name of justice, it is a worrying sign.
It's all cool, the institutions are working. To be an obvious example, the Holocaust was legal in Germany.
Every citizen should be guaranteed a chance to defend themselves against the state.
For those who are happy with the authoritarianism of the show, the question to be asked is, and when you? And when with your family?
And if your lawyer is bugged?
And your your child or your parent are conducted coercively to a police station?
And if your mother or your wife have a leaked process?
And if you're stuck in a hospital, while following someone who is undergoing a delicate treatment?
The Mantega lawyer pointed out that "public and individual freedoms are sequestered in Brazil and the captivity of them is in the state of Parana in Curitiba".
We reached the age where some are more equal than others. That's what they wanted?
The limit that was not in the narrative the dictatorship frayed still not exist today. A healthy society would have put a stop.
But Brazil is not a healthy society.

Esse limite não foi estabelecido no golpe de 64 e, aparentemente, nem com os abusos da Operação Lava Jato. Nós somos, ao que tudo indica, a terra do vale tudo.
A quantidade de gente aplaudindo a onipotência de Sérgio Moro e seus homens há meses, em nome da Justiça, é um sinal preocupante.
É tudo legal, as instituições estão funcionando. Para ficar num exemplo óbvio, o Holocausto era legal na Alemanha.
Todo cidadão deve ter garantida sua possibilidade de se defender contra o estado.
Para quem está feliz com o show de autoritarismo, a pergunta a ser feita é: e quando for com você? E quando for com a sua família?
E se o seu advogado for grampeado?
E seu o seu filho ou o seu pai forem conduzidos coercitivamente a uma delegacia?
E se a sua mãe ou a sua mulher tiverem um processo vazado?
E se você for preso num hospital, enquanto acompanha alguém que está sendo submetido a um tratamento delicado?
O advogado de Mantega apontou que “as liberdades públicas e individuais estão sequestradas no Brasil e o cativeiro delas é no estado do Paraná, em Curitiba”.
Chegamos à era em que uns são mais iguais que outros. Era isso o que queriam?
O limite que não houve na narrativa na ditadura se esgarçou continua não existindo hoje. Uma sociedade sadia já teria dado um basta.
Mas o Brasil não é uma sociedade sadia.
